David Border Consultancy was set up in 1993 as a vehicle to carry out composting, anaerobic digestion, and other microbiology-based consultancies. The company has worked with organic waste producers, composters, anaerobic digesters, UK Local Authorities and Government Departments. 

Consultancy work has been carried out in the UK, USA, Holland, Italy, Sri Lanka and Malawi. David Border is a lecturer and writer on matters relating to commercial organic waste composting, compost product development, anaerobic digestion, and microalgae. 

He attends international conferences on composting, anaerobic digestion, microalgae, and other technologies used to process organic materials. He has a particular interest in integrating the technologies of composting, anaerobic digestion, the cultivation of microalgae, and developing new products from the greenhouse gases methane and carbon dioxide.
