Examples of commercially grown or harvested microalgae and some of their uses
(Some are at the trial/pilot plant stage) These are images of the many different types of microalgae grown or harvested commercially. Many of these will be covered in detail by forthcoming pages on this website. The images have been taken using light microscopy. At a later date images taken with either a transmission electron microscope (TEM) or a scanning electron microscope (SEM) will be shown. This will give an idea of the ultrastructure of these microorganisms.
